J-Bot 2.2

I will be hence forth be called J-Bot. And will say affirmative instead of yes.

This electronic message has been posted to notify sentient flesh beings that J-Bot is recovering well from previously noted skeletal structure upgrades.

J-Bot 2.2 // End of line.

Bionic Man (sort of)

The Orthopedic specialist suggested I have a plate placed over my clavicle. The ill fitted jig saw puzzle still looks the same. As amazing as the human body is, it apparently has some difficulty auto-magically realigning bones on it’s own. It’s an out patient surgery so relatively minor (as far as surgeries go). But I’ll be going “under” and under the knife. A little freaked out. Just a little. So for my sake let’s take tally of the newly acquired benefits I’ll receive.

1. The ability to refract lasers off my collar bone.
2. Possibly pick up radio transmissions from space.
3. Hoist large buses off of accident victims.
4. 1% closer to becoming fully bio-mechanical (for the oncoming repressive robotic government).
5. Opportunity to get up close & personal with the metal detection wand operator at the airport.

If I left any out let me know.

sticks & stones

Went for ride in Annandale Park yesterday. The ride up was good. Beautiful day and feeling strong. But the ride down proved to be a bit more challenging. Coming off a berm, a little too hard on the brakes and my bike slid out from under me to the left. I went right toward the slop side off the mountain coming down full force on my shoulder. It only took a moment to realize that something was broken.

Hoofed it down the trail with help from The Chad. Came out of the ER with some pain meds & a sling. Looks like I’ve got a few uncomfortable weeks ahead of me.

So keep it safe out there kids. Never take your body for granted. And take a spin around the block for me.

Famn Dlaggers

About a month ago we decided to foster kittens. This time of year, also known as kitten season, a lot of them end up getting put down. So we thought the least we could do is take in a few of the fuzzies and find them homes. I mean, there kittens. They’re cute. How hard could it be?

Enter Craigslist. EVERY post has been flagged. And flagging on Craigslist means your post is deleted. Anyone can do it. So I go to the CL Flagging Forum to get some guidance as to why and only end up more frustrated. Age of the kittens, re-homing fee too little, re-homing fee too much, verification of vetting, etc. The advise of the moderators is as random and arbitrary as the flagging. And there’s no documentation to back any true rules as to what you can and can’t do.

My only thought is that some type of functionality needs to be build into the flagging process that notifies the post creator as to WHY their post has been flagged & removed. Than at least we would be able to know if we’re breaking a CL rule. And any random, inconsistent flagging could be at least documented.

My apologies for the rant. But we really are frustrated. CL has been a great online resource for us and it suck to have to abandon it when it could be very helpful.

Mr. Toledano

There’s a lot of good photography out there. But every once in awhile I come across great photography. The kind of imagery that is so unique, creative & bold that it drops your jaw, kicks you in the face and then gives you a big ‘ol smooch. Mr. Toledano’s work is very impressive.

And as a side note his site is also very well executed. Designed by Megafone.
