the bitter sweet creative


I’ve had the privilege of working on a series of book cover designs. There are 12 total and still a work in progress. This is the stuff that keeps me up at night. Working, thinking, up late till my eyes bleed. One simple idea to spark light upon the process. The kind of thing that makes you go “YES!”. The ecstasy of a creative journey. Design, art, music, film. It’s all the same within the context of creation. But when it over, it’s over. Within days (even hours) you’ve set it down and begin moving towards your next conquest of illumination. This is how it always is, maybe how it should be. To never be context (or passive) with our past successes keeps us moving. Keeps us anxious and thirsty for the process.
