When I begin writing a new post I usually get hung up on the title and then get distracted by another shiny, pretty website. So I’m bypassing the title altogether. Why not eh?

After raising a little hub-bub, Apple has replaced my computer with a new one! This glorious piece of machinery now hold all my work and the Talbot family’s photos, movies and music tenderly in it’s lightning fast dual-core xeon intel processors (I don’t’ know what that mean either). But this time I won’t be fooled by the false sense of security that the tower of brushed metal offers. Everything is securely backed up. If fact I’m backing up the back up.

Nadia and the boy headed down south early to see friends and family. At first, the prospect of being a bachelor for a week was kind of exciting. But the faint glimmer of greener grasses wore off within the hour. I’m just too old for late night video games. Biggs and I have been cuddling up for an early bedtime in a quiet house. I’m into work early and going home late. I’d be lost without the fam.

Went to see what you’d call an Alt Country band at a local Petaluma place and was really impressed. Between sets we’d go over to Volpi’s, an old Italian place with a bar in the back that use to be a speak-easy. Taxidermy, an accordion player and loads of eccentric photos on the walls make this place my new favorite. Pictures to come.

Been listening to M. Ward, Band of Horses and Syd Matters. All fantastic and reminding me that good, sweet music is perhaps on the incline (?)
