Since the creation of the Internet, the Earth’s rotation has been fueled, primarily, by the collective spinning of English teachers in their graves.

The life of a designer is a bitter sweet. We get to be creative at work. We don’t wear ties. We jump around, listen to loud music and act like children. And if anyone gives us a hard time we sight our need for “creative inspiration”. We draw pictures all day and get paid for it.
But we’re often misunderstood and unappreciated (insert sappy violin music here). And even more often the most genuine artistic endeavor ends in tragedy. Beautiful layouts are ruthlessly slaughtered by fat fingered clients. Paletteable colors are butchered with some “needed” sales burst. All the time and energy spent wrestling the perfect image and fonts die unseen at the bottom of some cold, dark archived file. The list goes on…

But words are petty. Why read what you can listen to? THIS IS GREAT!!

At the rip old age of 4 Ewan has been to the ER 6 times. The first was at his premature birth (prefaced by a helicopter ride) and the latest was necessitated by his very first broken bone. Just before dinner Friday night he came off the steps wrong and twisted his foot. And after the customary teary outburst it became apparent that he was really hurting. There were no obvious signs of a break and I was hoping it was only a sprain. But by bed time he could hardly sit still because of the pain so it was off to the hospital for us.

Skip forward after 4 hours of waiting…

The doc informed us that he has a hair line fracture of his Tarsus Bone and that he’ll need a splint and 4 weeks of rest.

So pray for the little guy. He’s having a hard time sleeping but otherwise he’s been a real champ.

We’ll keep you updated.
